Our Thesis
“African markets reward founders who can operate through complexity, not around it. WealthPot Ventures is a venture studio that selects for this capability and builds alongside the founders who value that. We combine academic rigor in finance and business with the operational experience of building across the United States and Africa to support ventures at the earliest stages, where the uncertainty between concept and execution is widest and where the right guidance compounds most. We are selective because the work is deep. We would rather build one company that lasts than fund ten that don’t.”

Venture Architecture
We work with founders to design the company before building the product. Problem validation, business model structure, and unit economics come before code. The goal is a venture that can defend its numbers beyond describing its vision.
Founder Development
The studio evaluates founder capability as seriously as it evaluates the idea. We assess how founders reason under pressure, how they respond when evidence contradicts their assumptions, and whether their motivation endures beyond the early stage. Development is continuous across the program and not just a workshop.
Valuation and Capital Strategy
Founders learn to understand and use the valuation frameworks that investors apply, including where those frameworks misprice ventures in African markets. Capital structure, round timing, equity architecture, and term sheet mechanics are taught as operating skills to best inform strategic vision.
Operating Discipline
We install the decision-making infrastructure that turns a founding team into a company: reporting cadence, milestone accountability, resource allocation, and the ability to make hard calls with incomplete information. This is where most early-stage ventures stall, and where the studio’s support provides advisory guidance.
Market Validation
The studio’s standard is evidence, not narrative. Founders generate paying customers, documented acquisition processes, and repeatable revenue signals before approaching investors. The evidence does the convincing. It’s a Show don’t sell.
Cross-Continental Reach
The studio operates across the United States and multiple African markets. Founders gain access to networks, market knowledge, and institutional relationships that reflect the studio’s own experience building in both contexts.

The WealthPot Way
The studio operates on an equity partnership model, not a fund structure. We take equity in exchange for structured incubation support, operational support and work alongside dedicated funding partners to connect validated projects with investors through deals structured for each venture's specific context. This separation keeps the studio focused on building and the capital side focused on deploying, without the conflicts that arise when the same entity does both.
Founders move through a stage-gated process where progression is earned through evidence, not scheduled by calendar. Each gate requires demonstrated milestones: validated problem, paying customer, repeatable revenue signal. Ventures that clear the process leave with a product in market, at least one paying customer, and the financial and strategic fluency to raise their next round on informed terms. Every framework in the program has been pressure-tested on the studio's own ventures first. We do not ask founders to trust a model we have not used ourselves.

02The Fiscal DNA Project
Most existing measures of fiscal health rely on perception using surveys, rankings, and reputational scores. This doesn't capture how the system actually works. The Fiscal DNA Think Tank takes a fundamentally different approach. By grounding its focus on structural fiscal data, focusing on how resources are raised, allocated, transferred, and spent reveals where money slows, leaks within institutions giving researchers and policymakers something rare: a clear, evidence-based map of what's working, what isn't, and where reform will make the most difference to understand fiscal systems well enough to fix them.
